Job Description

Alder Hey is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Orthopaedic Neuromuscular team & Northwest Movement Analysis Centre (NWMAC). This department comprises a multidisciplinary team that provides a regional specialist service for children with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions. The Gait Lab at Alder Hey serves as the central hub for the cerebral palsy service, offering recommendations for non-operative interventions, multi-level surgical interventions, including pre-operative planning, and pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation protocols. This specialist service is looking to appoint a physiotherapy practitioner for 27 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive, high quality, expert physiotherapy service for the North West region, within the clinical speciality of Orthopaedic Surgical Management of Cerebral Palsy encompassing management of hip, spine and lower limb. To work as an autonomous clinician using advanced specialist skills, knowledge and experience to collaborate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment interventions for children and young people within this discipline.
