Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance and pedagogy, with the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. This role involves teaching individual and group lessons, developing lesson plans tailored to each student's needs, and fostering a love for music through engaging instruction.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group piano lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels. Develop customised lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and goals of each student. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Introduce students to various musical styles, techniques, and theory concepts. Prepare students for performances, examinations, or competitions as needed. Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression. Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and any areas for improvement. Stay updated on teaching methods, music trends, and curriculum developments in music education.

Skills

Proficiency in piano performance with a solid understanding of music theory. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential; a passion for teaching is crucial. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey concepts to students of all ages. Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student progress records. Ability to inspire enthusiasm for music in students while instilling discipline in practice habits. Familiarity with various teaching methods and resources that enhance the learning experience.
