Anthem Tuition is expanding and wants you to join our team of teachers!

We offer 1:1 and small group music lessons in schools and we are seeking a creative and passionate piano and singing teacher who can work well with children for teaching in a Bury High school. The focus will be primarily piano, but there are a few singing students as well so we're looking for those comfortable with both piano and singing.

Lessons are scheduled on Thursdays during term time, with teaching taking place within the school day. The role currently offers around 3 hours of teaching, with the opportunity to expand up to 5 hours as the program grows. At present, the timetable is primarily made up of piano students.

We're looking for a teacher who can design creative lessons that incorporate fun and games, making the learning experience exciting and memorable. Our mission is to help every student feel like a rockstar while nurturing a lifelong love of music.

The main tasks of this role include teaching primarily 1:1 lessons, preparing for lessons, and printing music for students to use in class. You will also be responsible for writing brief weekly lesson notes, setting practice homework and encouraging students to get involved in our performance opportunities. If a student forgets to turn up to their lesson, you will be required to try and fetch them from their classroom.

The ideal candidate should possess a fun and professional approach, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills. We also value initiative, tenacity, and a positive approach to change. A passion for educating children is a must!

Qualifications for this role include a degree level in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology (desirable) and grade 8 level on your instrument (desirable). Previous teaching experience (particularly for GCSE/BTEC music students) is also desirable, but additional training can be provided.

As a teacher at Anthem Tuition, you must be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. You should be confident in teaching children in a way that is easy for students of all ages to understand.
