Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing underground pipelines, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in pipeline installation and maintenance. The position involves working on various projects, often in challenging environments, requiring physical endurance and attention to detail.

Duties

Lay and connect underground pipelines using appropriate techniques and tools Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with trenching and pipeline placement Use hand tools and power tools to cut, weld, and assemble pipes and fittings Perform welding tasks to secure pipeline joints where necessary Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Conduct routine inspections of pipelines for leaks or damage Assist with site preparation, including trench excavation and backfilling Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipelayer or similar role within the construction or utilities sector Deep drainage, filter drains, carrier drains and manholes. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings. Strong physical fitness with the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to pipeline installation projects Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision CSCS Card and Confined spaces preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 19.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 47 per week
