Pipe production operative

REPORTS TO Pipe Production Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

Member of a 3 man production team rotating working shifts (6-2, 10-6 nights and 2-10) 10.52 per hour with 1.69 attendance allowance per hour until trained and increased to 1.91 attendance per hour once training is complete and signed off. 65 per weeknight shift allowance for working on the night shift 10-6. Holiday pay is enhanced to 13.68 per hour no bonus. 25 days holiday and 8 bank holidays. We are looking for a candidate that ideally has experience in the plastic manufacturing industry, a valid FLT license and if capable in the use of handheld power tools. Be flexible with the availability to work weekend overtime shift to fulfil business increase capacity needs when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process

Observing control points and equipment

Monitoring personnel and resources

Studying methods

Implementing cost reductions

Facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points

Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments

Stablishing priorities

Monitoring progress

Resolving problems

Reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries

Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs

Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources

Responsible for continuous operation of complex equipment of production equipment

Oversight for product quality on both raw materials and finished goods

Identified issues that affected line production

Check product appearance for defects

Reports to Production Manager
