We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across commercial construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, schematics, and mechanical systems to ensure the integrity and safety of piping infrastructure. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, plumbing, or maintenance to utilise their technical skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately assemble piping systems. Perform welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to cut, bend, assemble, and install pipes. Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing piping infrastructure to prevent leaks or failures. Assist in the installation of plumbing fixtures and related components as required. Ensure all work is completed following safety protocols and industry regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements, quantities, and material estimates.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within construction or maintenance environments. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials related to piping installation. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for accurate assembly. Knowledge of plumbing systems and general maintenance practices is desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various working conditions. Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or pipefitting are advantageous but not mandatory.
