Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Pipefitters and Arc Welders to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pipe systems and the ability to work with Steel and / or stainless steel tube.

This role involves the installation of 2" to 12" steel tube, either as a welder or pipe fitter installer of fabricated lengths, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Project due to commence Jan 2026 for 9 months

Responsibilities

Install piping systems according to specifications and schematics. Install unistrut brackets to specification. Utilise stick welding techniques to join pipes and fittings securely. Operate power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling pipe components and brakcets. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements. Apply basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Install lengths of steel / stainless steel tube with flanged ends at heights of up to 17mtrs using cherry pickers and scissor lifts. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.

Experience

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly stick or TIG welding, is highly desirable. Experience working with power tools and understanding their safe operation is required. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents accurately.
A CSCS card is a must have, and an IPAF licence is required.

For MMA/arc/stick & TIG welding fabrication of flanges on lengths will be at ground level.
