The Piping / Structural Work Pack Development Engineer is required to prepares and compiles construction work packs based on engineering deliverables.
Candidate's must have previous experience in a similar role to be suitable for this position. This role is available on a part time (27 hrs p/w min ) contract, fully remote working basis. A piping/structural background in construction is essential.
Responsibilities - Work closely with construction and design engineers to understand scopes of work with a view to workpack compilation
Preparation and compilation of construction work packs, in the company approved format, in accordance with required project plan or required issue date
Construction led review of installation methods and materials required during compilation of workpack
Liaison with offshore and engineering personnel to ensure every section of the work pack, including GoC or relevant equivalent, is suitably populated
Tracking and policing of work packs at different revision states to ensure they are reviewed and approved by all necessary personnel in a timely manner and completed to a suitable revision state whilst ensuring KPI targets are met
Liaison with necessary personnel to ensure any queries from workpack reviews are suitably answered
Liaison with the Asset Operations function, with particular regard to QHSE Systems and ISSOW compliance (including establishing isolation boundaries)
Attachment of work orders and relevant documentation to workpacks to ensure highest levels of accuracy is provided
Checking of other workpack group members work and comment on same
Liaison with Project Responsible Person (PRP) to ensure all work is accurately packaged and populated to ensure that a suitably revised workpack is available on time
Issue workpacks to DCC for transmittal to client
Liaison with Client representative to ensure that completed workpacks are attached to completed work orders, and archived as appropriate
Close out of workpacks, including all lessons learnt, and ensuring that all relevant paperwork is raised as a post-work review
Input to project schedules to agree workpack issue dates and update progress against the plan
Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
Adherence to the company integrated management system
Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example
Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems

Qualifications
Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or HNC or recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body
Experience / Competence
Previous experience working as a Work Pack development Engineer
Piping / Structural background is essential
Previous experience in the Offshore / Onshore Oil and Gas Construction Industry as a Supervisor / Charge hand
Demonstrable experience of involvement with upgrades to Live Drilling Units, Production Installations, upgrades to M.O.D.Us and Elevating Drilling Units
Demonstrable experience in selecting and understanding ITRs whilst utilising Project IMS e.g. GoC Guidance on Certification
Competent in the use of MS Office applications
Excellent written and spoken English
