Who we are:

La Scala, an independent Italian venue right on Henleaze Highstreet. Known for our "Deli-Coffee-Wine" approach. We serve Italian coffee, Pastries, Fresh pasta, as well as holding a selection of Italian products on our shelves, and hosting Wine tastings on a weekly basis (as well as a monthly tasting menu).

There's an incredible range of opportunity to show creativity and get involved - we're looking for a passionate member to join our team.

We want to launch pizza in 2025, and we're looking for someone with experience and knowledge to join the team to make the launch as smooth as possible. We also have a one page menu to maintain, so you'll first be integrated into the team with a mixture of Kitchen & FOH Barista shifts (We're a small team, so everyone knows how to do everything)

Hours: (Minimum)20hrs p/week - 35hrs p/week

:

Kitchen assistant /Barista:

- Following recipes & catering to our one-page menu

- Food preparation

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, pots, and pans.

- Coffee making

- Maintain Italian, Warm, Hospitable customer service

- Follow handbook (cleaning schedule, H&S, stock taking etc)

Req's

- Barista trained & competent in coffee making

- Experience in pizza making

- Competent in slicing, dicing & general food preparation

- Basic kitchen experience
