As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is cooked to perfection and served promptly. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Duties

- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, according to established recipes and presentation standards.

- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed.

- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper storage, handling, and cooking temperatures.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas throughout the shift.

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of all dishes served.

- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages or needed supplies to the kitchen manager.

- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety regulations.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.

- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
