Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, meal preparation, and kitchen cleanliness. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen space, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential.

Pay: From 12.82 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
