Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love of artisan pizza, great ingredients and a deep understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for creating perfect gourmet pizzas, alongside other delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while also ensuring a smooth operation within the kitchen.

Duties

- Prepare and cook artisan pizzas, as well as other food prep, such as salads, spanish tortillas, sharing platters, etc.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.

Skills

- Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar environment.
- A genuine passion for pizza and high quality food.

- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Creativity in developing new recipes and enhancing existing ones.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

The kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant. So a positive and friendly disposition is essential.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
