Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure quality standards are met.

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers.
