Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas using fresh ingredients, traditional and modern techniques, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas (including sourdough, Neapolitan-style, or other styles as required). Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings following restaurant recipes or specifications. Operate pizza ovens and ensure correct temperatures for cooking. Monitor food stock and manage inventory of pizza ingredients and kitchen supplies. Ensure all dishes are prepared on time and to the highest quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Assist with menu development and suggest new pizza creations or seasonal specials. Follow all health & safety and food hygiene standards and procedures. Minimise food waste and manage portion control effectively. Maintain a positive and professional approach with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen. Skilled in dough preparation, fermentation processes, and hand-stretching techniques. Familiarity with different pizza styles (wood-fired, sourdough, Neapolitan, etc.) is a plus. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and passion for high-quality food. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Culinary qualification or relevant training (preferred but not essential).
