We are looking for a skilled and passionate

Pizza Chef

to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic, high-quality pizzas using traditional Italian methods. You will be responsible for creating consistently excellent pizzas, maintaining high food hygiene standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a range of pizzas using fresh dough, quality ingredients and authentic recipes. Hand-make pizza dough, sauces and toppings to restaurant standards. Operate, clean and maintain pizza ovens (wood-fired, gas or electric). Monitor cooking times and oven temperatures to achieve perfect results every time. Prepare and organise the pizza station for smooth service. Manage stock rotation, portion control and minimise food waste. Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic working area in compliance with UK food safety regulations. Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure excellent service. Support the Head Chef with menu development, specials and seasonal ingredients. Train junior kitchen staff where required.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar role within a busy restaurant or pizzeria. Sound knowledge of pizza dough preparation, fermentation and baking techniques. Experience operating pizza ovens safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and consistency in presentation. Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) preferred. Reliable, team-oriented and enthusiastic about Italian cuisine.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with wood-fired ovens. Knowledge of Italian and Mediterranean flavours. Creativity and passion for developing new pizza combinations. Understanding of stock control and kitchen organisation.
