We are seeking a talented and passionate pizza chef to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and working with a gas fired pizza oven with the ability to create delicious neapolitan style pizzas that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
This role requires a keen understanding of food safety practices and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan meal preparation and coordinate cooking schedules.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Provide excellent service by plating dishes attractively and ensuring timely delivery to the dining area.
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for hygiene in food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly desirable.
