Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
Oversee meal preparation, ensuring all dishes are presented beautifully and served at the correct temperature
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required
Previous experience serving customers is advantageous but not essential
