We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. You will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
Serve meals to guests, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Experience with meal preparation and food presentation
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Previous experience serving customers is an advantage
