Location: City of London

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: 8 shifts per week (split across lunch and dinner), Saturday & Sunday off

Pay: 15 per hour + share of Tronc (tips)

Start Date: Within 3-4 weeks

About Us

A long-standing name in the City of London's dining scene, recently remodelled and entering an exciting new chapter. We're introducing a dedicated New York-style pizza counter within our modern Italian restaurant -- combining classic Italian craft with a relaxed, urban edge.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to take ownership of our pizza section, operating a new IGF Fornitalia electric deck oven. You'll produce authentic New York-style pizzas for restaurant service, takeaway orders, and pizza-by-the-slice customers.

You'll be responsible for every stage of the process -- from dough preparation and portioning to topping assembly, baking, and presentation -- maintaining excellent standards of quality, speed, and consistency. Cleanliness and adherence to health & safety protocols are essential, as the pizza counter is visible to guests.

The ideal candidate will take pride in running a spotless, well-organised section and will work closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain pizza dough daily, following house recipes and fermentation schedules.

Operate and maintain the IGF Fornitalia oven to produce high-quality New York-style pizzas.

Manage mise en place for all pizza ingredients, ensuring freshness, portion control, and waste minimisation.

Coordinate with kitchen and floor teams to ensure timely service for dine-in, takeaway, and slice counter.

Maintain accurate cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and health & safety documentation in line with EHO standards.

Uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety across the section at all times.

Support team communication and contribute to a positive, professional kitchen environment.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 1-2 years' experience working as a pizza chef (New York or Italian style).

Solid understanding of dough handling, proofing, shaping, and baking techniques.

Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Team-oriented attitude with clear communication skills.

Italian language skills advantageous.
