Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining quality and presentation standards. Oversee kitchen operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices. Monitor portion sizes and minimise waste while ensuring high-quality output.

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards. Previous experience in managing kitchen operations or leading a team is advantageous. A passion for cooking with the ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary requirements. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
