Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Oversee kitchen operations, including meal preparation and cooking processes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing ability to work in fast-paced settings. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy service periods. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
