Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely. Assist with special events and catering as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
