Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes before serving

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
