Job Description

The Placements and International Programmes Office (PIP) is responsible for the governance, business processes, promotion and management for all off-campus activities (both UK and International) including student exchanges/study abroad programmes, work placements and fieldwork. PIP works closely with partner universities across the globe and also admits, welcomes and supports all our incoming study abroad/exchange students. This is an exciting time to join a well-established and friendly team as we seek to grow study abroad and work placement opportunities for students.


The Placements and International Programmes Assistant is a key member of the team, supporting colleagues with various activities, including the maintenance of student records, promotion of international opportunities, and the dissemination of placement funding to students.


This role is a great opportunity to develop knowledge and experience in the field of student mobility, and may be of particular interest to individuals with prior experience of studying or working abroad, although we also welcome applications from individuals without this experience.

The ideal candidate will:



have experience working with administrative processes in a customer facing office environment be comfortable working in a busy team, be a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail have exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work across cultural and language barriers have a clear understanding of the benefits that off-campus activities can have for students

This role is fixed-term until 30th September 2026.
