Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planned Care Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100. Lots of in-house training opportunities on offer including the Management development programme with PPG, various university courses, development from a planned care perspective relating to long term conditions.
Hours 37.5 hours working Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 5.30pm (if covering a clinical shift) and 8-4pm. Some weekend working, max of one weekend a month.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 59677 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Planned Care Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Provide clinical leadership and day to day operational management to the registered nurses and care teams. Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required. Working closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
As the Clinical Lead you will coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site. You will also chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners.
As Clinical lead, you'll deliver workshops to develop the team's learning in various areas such as clinical processes, documentation, patient care and joint Healthcare & HMPPS processes.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse - Adult
  • Would consider a Practice Nurse or someone who leads as a Senior Nurse in an outpatient department
  • Long term conditions experience
  • Management experience
  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Prescribing Qualification - Desirable
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • A fastidious approach to Professional Standards
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
