We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Planner to join our Planning team based in Bury St Edmunds. Within this role, you can enjoy Healthcare, company car or allowance, options to buy and sell leave and even more.

Location: Bury St Edmunds - agile working available, with travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent \xe2\x80\x93 flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Planner, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be reporting to the Senior Planner, supporting them in the planning of projects throughout all stages from tender to completion.

Your day to day will include:

Play an active role within the planning/ project teams to help support the achievement of business goals and objectives by ensuring that planning programmes are developed, monitored and reported on through all stages of the project planning cycle using the company standard software. Also ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Where required liaise with Operational or Development Managers to provide programmes and schedules updates in lien with NEC Contracts to the highest standards, and to work closely with operational and estimating colleagues at the pre-commencement stage of a contract and ensure that a master programme is prepared that will achieve the best possible business outcomes.

Liaise with Operations, Contract and Site Managers to successfully plan the sequence of work, key dates and resourcing of projects. And to effectively support and liaise with the project management team through all stages of the project from tender to completion and post contract review. * Responsible for ensuring progress and productivity is effectively monitored against the project plan, and that reports are produced in a concise and timely manner as well as ensuring Programme Narrative are prepared and submitted alongside submitted Programmes.

  • Ensure that planning contract reviews are conducted at the agreed programme periods to assess the progress against targets and to put in place any corrective measures, where necessary, provide monthly reports of value/work done for cost value reconciliation reports and attend progress meetings as required, both internal and external, to review and report on progress.

You have a good understanding of NEC Contracts

You are able to take own initiative but also work collaboratively with the wider team * You have previous experience within the Utilities sector
