About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our growing team in Derry/Londonderry.
The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of planning and environmental projects, including renewable energy developments, infrastructure, and private sector planning applications across both NI and ROI.

You will be responsible for managing and preparing planning applications, planning statements, and appeals, while supporting senior colleagues in project delivery and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or assist in preparing planning applications, appeals, and development plans. Coordinate and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). Undertake planning policy research and analysis. Prepare planning statements, design and access statements, and supporting documents. Liaise with local authorities, statutory consultees, and clients. Provide input on project feasibility and site appraisals. Attend project meetings and occasional site visits.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree (and preferably postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or related discipline. 2-5+ years' professional planning experience, ideally in consultancy or development management. Strong understanding of NI and ROI planning systems and environmental legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience preparing planning applications and liaising with clients and authorities. RTPI Chartered or working towards RTPI Chartership (essential or near completion).
