Central Services is a newly formed team at Anglian Water, dedicated to delivering safe, professional, collaborative and cost-effective maintenance and engineering support across the business. Are you passionate about driving project success through strategic planning and collaboration? We're looking for a forward-thinking Planner to lead the development and management of project plans from design to delivery. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to create impactful, resource-aware programmes that keep projects on track, reduce risk, and deliver value to our customers. You'll also champion planning best practices, monitor progress, and ensure everyone stays aligned through clear communication and insightful reporting.
As a Planner, you'll play a vital role in shaping project success across multiple areas:Health & Safety - Ensure planning supports exceptional safety performance, considering safety and productivity from the earliest design stages and aligning with Anglian Water's core safety principles.
Planning & Programme Management - Lead the preparation, monitoring, and communication of robust project plans that align with constraints, drive efficiencies, and proactively manage risks and opportunities. Collaborate with the delivery team to maintain resource-loaded, high-quality programmes.
Programme Communication & Quality - Maintain clear visibility of both portfolio of projects and standalone project progress, advise on priorities, and ensure alignment between plans and cost forecasts. Drive continuous improvement and uphold planning standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, tailoring communication of plans and progress to a variety of audiences to ensure understanding and alignment.
Innovation & Transformation - Foster a culture of innovation and improvement, embracing digital tools, and contributing to the wider water sector and engineering community.

What does it take to be a Planner?Experience of planning of predominantly MEICA works within both Water and Water recycling areas which could include elements of civil and minor building projects, from solution to handover
Demonstrable live construction site experience in a delivery role with a contractor
Technical knowledge of construction techniques, principles and best practices
Experience of NEC programme delivery
Knowledge of current HSE requirements
High level of computer literacy
P6 experience
Ability to interrogate / take information from drawings and or specifications
Experience of leading collaborative planning processes
Knowledge of current HSE requirements
Engineering and/or Project Management Qualification
