Full Time Permanent, to work a 42.5hr week 08.00-17.00 Monday to Friday

About the Role:

A Gas Planner within our Maryport branch you will need to be proactive and ready to tackle any challenge that are thrown at you and respond with options or preferably a resolution. You will also need to be responsible for monitoring and maintaining PDA (personal digital assistant) control allocation and will monitor daily work volumes ensuring efficient use of resources to meet turnaround timescales. As well as this, whilst ensuring employees always have the workload to allow them to perform to an optimum level, you will also provide supporting information on operative performance levels.

What your day will look like:

  • Ensuring operatives are logged onto jobs to start their day.
  • Planning work onto Operatives Diaries by making suitable appointments with tenants.
  • Reviewing jobs logged by the client to check they have been raised correctly and also review to ensure the operative will have enough time to complete the work first time.
  • Prioritise emergency jobs.
  • Reallocation of work to accommodate emergencies or sick leave.
  • Reviewing diaries throughout the day to ensure appointments are being met.
  • Raising work/purchase orders for subcontractors/suppliers ensuring accuracy and appropriate to job being undertaken
  • Good IT knowledge, using in house software as well as Microsoft suite of software.
  • Understand trades, materials, processes and health and safety in order to support and advise operatives with general queries about the work to be undertaken, as well as being able to relay appropriate information back to the client.
  • Escalating any issues to your line manager or trade supervisor as appropriate
  • Longer term: We will support you to enable you to develop and grow a career in housing, developing a full understanding of repairs and maintenance in customers\xe2\x80\x99 homes.
Role Criteria:
  • Communicating with clients, colleagues, supervisors, managers and liaising with colleagues from other departments as well as tenants.
  • Use IT systems to problem solve and deliver an outstanding level of customer service with passion and dedication.
  • Good organisation skills are required to organise and manage your workload.
  • Display the ability to respond to changing priorities to meet deadlines and client KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Work as part of a team as well as being a self-starter.
