role

This

is a fixed term temporary role while 31st July 2026



This is a key role in the Planning, Research & Systems Improvement Team and will play a pivotal role in developing and supporting one of the College key business processes, the Business and Curriculum Planning Process.

This role will be pivotal in the delivery of business improvement and change, supporting new processes to develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, in support of the College's strategic objectives.

The post holder will play a significant role in the review, design and delivery of innovative improvements to the Student Lifecycle and key business processes to enhance the student and staff experience which results in a positive and measurable impact.

Main Responsibilities:



To achieve these specific duties, include, but are not limited to:

To work with the Head of Planning, Research & Systems Improvement in the development of an annual curriculum portfolio review process, developing appropriate metrics and reports to enable curriculum planner to make informed data driven decisions


Through the development of effective insights and reporting, support Curriculum Planners to ensure that curriculum delivery optimises all College resources and maximises income opportunities


As a Business Partner work with Curriculum Planners to ensure that the College's Curriculum Portfolio is aligned to current and future skills priorities, developing compelling evidence-based reports that will influence the change to the curriculum portfolio as appropriate


To support the Head of Planning, Research & Systems Improvement in the development and delivery of key cross-college projects and to support other Professional Services Teams in relation to Capital Building and IT projects to ensure business continuity is maintained for Students and Staff


To play a key role in cross college business improvement and change programmes supporting the College to develop and deliver a systematic review of the Student Lifecycle across all student groups and key business processes


To undertake research, analysing a range of data to identify opportunities for improvements in user experience from current student facing and wider business processes


To lead process reviews of agreed student facing and business processes, working across the College to formally map the current processes, identify weaknesses and develop future state processes


To report outcomes from process reviews and recommend new processes, where appropriate using available new technologies to create improved service value to create a measurable impact on service users


To lead where appropriate the delivery of agreed data transactional process improvement projects within specified timeframes, to achieve clearly identified and measurable improvement goals of increased data quality, improved productivity and cycle times


To support systems improvement projects to act as an expert in the areas of learner data, funding and resources to ensure that College systems are optimised for users


To support the Research function of the team working with the Senior Researcher as required in support of the College's understanding of its external environment


To support the Data Protection function of the team working with the Data Protection Officer as required in support of the College's position and assurance on Data Protection
