We are looking to recruit an ambitious and personable Chartered Town Planner to join our friendly Team based in our Wells Office. Whilst we are primarily looking to fill a full-time position, we are prepared to consider offering a part-time opportunity to the right candidate.

Your position will involve carrying out site appraisals, providing written planning advice; preparation of planning applications and appeals, writing supporting statements and providing support to senior colleagues.

You'll work closely with colleagues, clients and local authorities gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and developing strong professional relationships.

You will need to demonstrate that you are a team player who would enjoy working collaboratively with our in-house design team.

About You



Ideally, you would have experience of working in both private practice and the public sector; however, we would also welcome applications from candidates with some post-graduate work experience in either sector who are keen to build a long-term career in planning.

Our highly professional, multidisciplinary team holds chartered membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of planning, architecture, and development.

Salary and Benefits



We are offering an attractive and competitive salary in the range of 32,000 - 50,000 (depending on experience), 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and offer flexible working hours.

You will also need to have the personality and drive to enjoy taking an active role in business development, to include networking and actively promoting the company both in person and through social media channels (primarily Linkedin).
