Affinity Flying Services supports the UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flying training. Under a landmark partnering programme with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three fleets of aircraft to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). Through technical advancement and commercial innovation, we deliver safe, airworthy aircraft to match the training needs of the next generation on the frontline.

About the Role:



We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to provide

engineering administrative support

to the AFS Planning, Part 145, and Continuing Airworthiness Departments. This role has a strong emphasis on

quality control of maintenance and airworthiness records

associated with Part 145 operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement within our maintenance documentation processes, working closely with Maintenance Managers, Engineers, and support teams.

This is a part time permanent contract position based on 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday.



Roles & Responsibilities



The role is centred around providing a quality control function to the AFS 145 maintenance records to identify, record and instigate corrective actions to improve the quality of the Continuing Airworthiness Records output from the Part 145. This will be facilitated by communicating with the Part 145 Maintenance Managers, Chief Engineers, Engineers, and support staff to resolve and rectify issues and record these errors for statistical analysis by the Part 145 management team. Assisting the AFS CAMO with the quality control of 145 Maintenance data being presented to the Military Airworthiness review team Assisting the Planning department with the production and control of maintenance documents for the 145 Organisation, including production and update of Work Procedures, work instructions and standard maintenance document templates as used by the 145 Organisation. Providing additional Engineering Admin as directed by the Planning Manager. Assisting the 145 Organisation with day-to-day issues with the EMS. Additional appropriate tasking from the Head of Maintenance and the Planning Manager to assist in the control of maintenance recording and documentation control. Liaise with the Veryon Envision manager to highlight any issues with the EMS. Keeping all 145 Organisation and Planning Department spreadsheets, data bases and EMS updated as required and producing detailed error records on 145 Continuing Airworthiness Records for the 145 organisations. Driving improvements within the 145 Organisation with respect to paperwork errors.

Essential Experience & Skills:



Proven experience in

quality control/assurance

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.

Desirable Experience & Skills:



Working knowledge of

CAA Part 145 and CAMO regulations

. Experience in a

military aviation environment

. Previous employment in an aircraft engineering setting, including maintenance record compilation.

Essential Qualifications:



MS Office literate. Ability to obtain UK security clearance. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications:



Quality Auditor skills. CAA Part 145/CAMO training. Data analysis qualification. Aircraft engineering training. Familiarity with Veryon Engineering Management System (EMS).
