We are recruiting a Planning Manager with extensive EPCM experience to join a landmark energy project based in Teesside.
As Planning Manager you will be responsible for leading the planning team and have ownership of the project schedule. You will be the main point of contact for the client on all matters relating to the schedule. You will provide expertise on the systems for the planning, scheduling and project controls on the project using Primavera P6 planning software.
The role will be site based full time in Teesside

Experience of planning major Civil Engineering / Pipeline schemes - ideally EPCM
CSCS Academically Qualified Person or similar level
Excellent P6 skills including resourcing and cost loading
Proven team-working skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
Strong communication skills

Experience of working within the same programme with multiple planning engineers
Strong Experience of using earned value analysis to monitor programme performance
Ability to work consistently to deadlines
Excellent monitoring and reporting skills
Excellent communication skills

Oil and Gas experience (in particular gas pipelines)
Advanced Excel user
Experience in LEAN techniques
A good understanding of Oil and Gas Engineering processes
Responsible for all aspects of the project schedule, programming and progress monitoring, including Engineering, procurement, off site fabrication and construction.
Responsible for meeting the client's requirements with respect to the schedule and reporting.
Leading the planning team to develop and maintain the integrated schedule
Key point of contact with client, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities and undertakings on all matters relating to the schedule
Ensuring all sub-contract schedules are issued on time, reviewed, accepted or rejected accordingly and integrated into the master schedule.
To prepare and present reports on programme and progress on all aspects of the project, and to attend and contribute to client and sub-contractor meetings and other meetings accordingly.
Communicate to the team the high level schedule, progress and action areas to ensure the project is successfully delivered on time.
Update progress and production of variance reports as required including critical path and earned value analysis and mitigation proposals.
Lead collaborative planning on the project
Support the management of change in regards of impact on programmes and progress.
