Your Mission in the Planning Team:




Provide strategic leadership and management of the Project Planning Team, ensuring delivery of robust planning, scheduling, and performance management processes across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership & Governance:


Oversee the Planning team and planning processes, ensuring alignment, compliance, and schedule governance. Act as

Primavera P6 SME

for the project.

Planning & Scheduling:


Develop and maintain integrated project schedules; manage

baseline changes

, support

QSRA

, and drive

EVM

implementation through cost/resource-loaded plans.

Coordination & Interfaces:


Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to meet monthly reporting (drumbeat) needs. Facilitate

Interactive Planning (IAP)

sessions to manage risks and opportunities.

Performance & Reporting:


Provide accurate schedule forecasts,

critical path

analysis, and

variance reporting

. Identify issues early and support timely mitigation.

Qualifications

Key Skillsets and Qualifications for this role:



Essential:



Leadership:

Line management experience preferred, with ability to guide and develop planning teams.

Primavera (P6) Expert:

Exceptional knowledge -- acts as

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

. ?

Major Projects:

Proven experience delivering integrated schedules on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.

Full Lifecycle:

Experience across all project stages, from initiation to closeout.

Planning Mastery:

Skilled in advanced planning techniques, scheduling tools, and programme monitoring.

Contract Knowledge:

Strong understanding of

NEC contracts

, tender and contract documentation, and change/delay entitlement. + ?

Risk & Opportunity:

Sound knowledge of planning-related risk management and mitigation approaches.

Construction Insight:

Deep understanding of market practices, methods, plant, labour, and resource requirements.

IT Proficiency:

Confident in

Microsoft Office

(Excel, Word, Outlook). ?

Communication:

Strong written, reporting, and presentation skills.

Desirable:



Awareness of

Project Management principles

(PRINCE2 / APM certified or equivalent).
