We are looking for a someone to join the Planning Obligations Team on a one-year fixed-term contract to help deliver a new Section 106 monitoring system for the Council.
The role will play a key role in helping the borough mitigate the impact of development and ensure the successful collection and monitoring of developer contributions that are critical to delivering new infrastructure in the borough.
Ideally you will have previous experience of planning obligations and/or planning; have a high level of computer literacy, and be confident working with systems and in the manipulation and interpretation of financial information.
Working alongside the Council's Section 106 officer you will be responsible for ensuring that all Section 106 deeds and covenants are captured and monitored in a new monitoring system - Exacom, including all relevant financial and non-financial information.
The successful applicant will be expected to work independently and manage their work programme to ensure that project milestones are met and all information is migrated in to the new system. You will be required to work closely with the Planning Obligations Team, as well as colleagues in Planning, Finance and Legal.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will be quick to grasp new systems and processes related to planning obligations and the collection and management of Section 106 information. They will be proactive in finding solutions to challenges as they arise, while also reviewing and improving existing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. A positive attitude towards embracing new systems and methodologies is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively to deliver effective and timely solutions.
