London (interior + exterior client sites, occasional travel outside London)
About Us
Palais unites contemporary art and horticulture. We design, install, and maintain curated green spaces across London and the UK, approaching each as part of a wider sculptural network in constant evolution.
Our planting schemes are not traditional gardens -- they are carefully designed plant displays in workplaces, hospitality settings, and private residences. Each scheme is crafted to remain visually striking and healthy throughout the seasons, requiring consistency, aesthetic awareness, and thoughtful care.
Our gardening team currently cares for 28+ installations of varying scope, visiting weekly or bi-weekly. As we grow, we're looking for curious, detail-oriented plant lovers to join our team.
Role Overview
The
Plant Care Technician
is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of our interior and exterior plant schemes. You'll be trained in the Palais in-house planting style and supported by our studio team, working both independently and as part of a wider network.

Routine care and maintenance of plant schemes across London sites.
Monitoring plant health and responding promptly to issues.
Providing clear, regular feedback to the studio team on site conditions, materials required, and any follow-up actions.
Working independently on-site while maintaining consistent communication with the team.
Ensuring planting remains visually engaging, adapting to seasonal changes, and implementing updates where required.
About You
We're looking for people who bring attentiveness, curiosity, and a love for plants. Key qualities include:
A broad awareness of aesthetics and spatial design.
A good general understanding of plant health.
Strong communication skills and confidence in asking questions.
Attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Consideration when working in client-facing, shared environments.
A curious, open-minded approach to learning and improving systems.
Bonus points for:
A full UK driver's license or confidence riding a cargo e-bike in London.
Being an early riser -- most sites need to be vacated by 12pm.
Contract Details
Part-time role (2-5 morning shifts per week).
Minimum 6-month commitment.
Start: October 2025.
