Position Overview:


We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Plant Hire Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of lifting and crane machinery. You will work independently, with a customer-focused attitude, ensuring our equipment operates at optimal performance and is available when needed. You will also be involved in routine servicing, troubleshooting, and managing documentation related to machinery maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of plant machinery, including cranes, roto telehandlers, forklifts, mini cranes, and access equipment (scissor lifts, cherry pickers, etc.). Ensure all machinery is maintained to a high standard to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Work independently on routine servicing and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems. Provide on-site engineering support and personnel for clients as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Assist in fulfilling all lift plan requirements and provide expert guidance on lift operations. Liaise with administrative staff for support with paperwork and documentation management. Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs in a professional and timely manner. Identify and report any issues or improvements to machinery performance or safety standards.

Key Requirements:



Strong knowledge and practical experience with hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems. Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair, preferably in the lifting and crane industry. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively. Positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and customer service-oriented. Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation and record-keeping. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a small team. Flexibility and readiness to take on a variety of tasks.

Additional Information:



The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a standard working schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A company pension scheme is included as part of the benefits package.
