Job Description
RMP Hire a family run business based in South Wales is looking for a Plant Fitter to join our dynamic and growing team.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced mobile plant fitter to join our team, where you will need to ensure compliance is maintained through tight document control. The ideal candidate for this role will have commercial vehicle experience and will be motivated, be able to demonstrate initiative and carry out tasks to an excellent standard.
Experience/Qualifications
Class 3 NVQ is a minimum requirement
A class 1 or class 2 license would be advantageous but not essential.
Prior experience working in a similar role
Competent in use of latest diagnostic equipment
Must have the ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation.
Strong plant and equipment knowledge and able to demonstrate relevant qualifications, training and experience
Your responsibilities are not limited to but entail the following:-
Attend breakdowns, carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on plant/equipment
Examine vehicles completely and report orally and/or in writing upon the condition, safety, reliability, and performance.
Perform general maintenance on plant and equipment within the workshop
Ensure work is completed in line with Health & Safety and safe working practices
Capability to carry our hydraulic & electrical diagnoses on plant equipment
Undertake periodic vehicle/equipment/plant inspections, services, and repairs
Diagnose and rectify vehicle defects
Testing vehicles and diagnose faults as requested.
Observing, recognising, and reporting on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 16.00-18.00 per hour
