About the Role

We are looking for a skilled

Plant Fitter with strong welding and fabrication experience

to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of mobile and static plant equipment, while also carrying out fabrication and welding work as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied hands-on role and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on plant machinery including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, compressors, and other heavy equipment. Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Carry out welding and fabrication tasks (MIG/TIG/ARC) to repair or modify components, buckets, frames, and structural parts. Fabricate brackets, guards, and bespoke parts as needed. Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate service records. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards. Assist with breakdowns both onsite and offsite (company vehicle provided where applicable).

About You

Experienced Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic, or similar background (HGV, agricultural, mechanical engineering). Strong welding and fabrication ability--able to work from drawings or create solutions independently. Confident with hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems. Ability to fault-find and problem-solve under pressure. Full UK driving licence (required) Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: 16.50-26.00 per hour
