Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Keynsham for a PDI Engineer. The PDI Engineer will be responsible for preparing, testing, and inspecting construction equipment prior to delivery or hire, ensuring machinery readiness and compliance with safety and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with the team to ensure efficient operations. The role requires a detail-oriented and proactive approach to delivering top-quality equipment maintenance services.

Qualifications

Technical skills in machinery inspection, diagnostics, and maintenance Experience with construction equipment and related attachments Understanding of safety standards and regulations in the equipment operations industry Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to work in an on-site environment and function collaboratively within a team Experience in hands-on mechanical repair and diagnostics is an advantage Relevant technical certifications or qualification in engineering or mechanics are desirable

Experience

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, assembly processes, and technical drawings. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement devices effectively. Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to industrial environments. Previous experience with maintenance planning or troubleshooting is desirable but not essential.
