GBM are looking to recruit a Plant Fitter to join our friendly team at Louth.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our small and dynamic team. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of engineering principles. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our plant is well maintained and fully operational to meet the needs of all our sites.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out regular, servicing, maintenance and repair on heavy plant and machinery Fit and assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as required. Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. To attend onsite breakdowns at various locations, keeping machine downtime to a minimum. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and be prepared to support other divisions. Document work completed and report any discrepancies or defects in components. To be accessible and reactive to machine breakdowns. To build and maintain excellent customer relations as we look to grow our external business.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a construction/ engineering environment is preferred. Familiarity with various fitting techniques and tools is essential. Experience in welding would be advantageous but not essential. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability
