Job Description
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Plant Fitter to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on heavy plant machinery and equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently Replace defective parts and conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company health & safety policies Keep accurate maintenance records and report issues promptly Collaborate with site engineers and supervisors on equipment performance
Requirements:
Proven experience as a plant fitter or similar mechanical maintenance role NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred) Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings Valid UK driving license Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call shifts
