Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our dynamic team at Waltet Materials Ltd in Romsey . In this role, you will play a vital part in our operations by efficiently managing machinery to support our waste management services, contributing to our mission of sustainability and excellence.

Loading our own vehicles and that of our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Loading screeners and other recycling equipment.

Support the running of our aggregate wash plant by the safe and efficient use of the wheeled loading shovel or tracked excavators above 12 tonnes

Responsibilities

Operate wheeled loading shovels or tracked excavators safely and efficiently. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations at the recycling center. Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies at all times. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials handled. Support the implementation of environmentally-friendly practices in all operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a wheeled loading shovel operator or tracked excavator operator in a similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic checks and minor repairs. Experience operating excavators is also highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
