Position Overview:

We are looking for a Workshop Fitter - Heavy Plant Technician to join our team in Ipswich. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy plant machinery, including ADTs, excavators, screeners, telehandlers, and dozers. Working primarily in our workshop, you'll handle both mechanical and electrical repairs to keep our machinery safe, reliable, and ready for action.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out scheduled service, maintenance, and repairs on heavy plant machinery, including crushers, cone crushers, screeners, and trommels. Diagnose and repair issues within diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Use diagnostic tools to effectively troubleshoot machinery issues. Keep accurate records of repairs and services conducted. Follow the company's health and safety guidelines in all tasks.

Requirements

:

Own tools Proven experience working with construction, quarrying, or recycling machinery. Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including diesel engines and hydraulics. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance or Agricultural Plant Maintenance. A full UK driving license (some travel may be required).
