Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plastering techniques and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a smooth and professional finish. A background in masonry or carpentry is advantageous, as is experience with various hand and power tools. Working away from home 2-4 nights per week is essential. overnight money and accommodation paid

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster to the correct consistency for application. Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate techniques. Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, meeting client specifications. Repair damaged plasterwork and carry out maintenance as required. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on site, including bricklayers and carpenters. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
