Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Damp proofing and Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and professional finish. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary. Mix plaster according to specifications for optimal consistency and application. Apply plaster using various techniques to achieve desired finishes on walls and ceilings. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing plaster. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers and carpenters to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Perform repairs on existing plasterwork as required, including patching holes and cracks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to weld or perform basic roofing tasks is considered a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent finishing skills. Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Experience in Damp proofing and associated works an advantage. Driving licence essential.
