Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Plasterer will collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to deliver high-quality results in both residential and commercial projects.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster according to specifications and apply it using hand tools and power tools. Ensure that plaster is applied evenly and meets the required thickness for durability. Repair damaged plasterwork, including filling cracks and holes. Collaborate with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively. Assist in roofing projects as required, ensuring proper plaster application in these areas.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers. Experience with bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with power tools used in plastering work. Basic knowledge of carpentry skills is beneficial for project integration. Understanding of roofing principles related to plaster application is a plus. Welding skills are desirable but not essential for this position. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
