Job Summary

Skilled labourer/multitrade/plasterer role with clear career progression opportunity.

We are seeking a skilled labourer or plasterer to to join our team. The role will involve initially making repairs to walls after electrical rewires, working along side our existing plasterers and electricians. Successful candidate's would have the opportunity to progress and manage a small team.

The ideal candidate will have basic plastering techniques and will be responsible for making repairs and patches to walls and ceilings after rewiring work to create a smooth finish. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary. Ensure customers homes are protected at all times. Mix plaster ingredients according to specifications for optimal consistency. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish on various surfaces. Collaborate with electricians to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform repairs on existing plasterwork as required. Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a plasterer or skilled labourer within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Ability to work at heights, including on roofs or scaffolding when necessary. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
