Job Overview
The Materials Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the distribution of plastics for manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for ensuring that materials are available for production, that lorries are loaded efficiently and materials correctly identified.
Duties
Identify different types of plastic and distribute to machine operators to meet orders. Coordinate with management to ensure orders are fulfilled. Monitor inventory levels and forecast material and stillage requirements to prevent shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with production schedules. Weigh incoming and outgoing product, ensure lists are kept. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all materials handling activities. Safe operation of forklift
Skills
Forklift experience People management In-depth knowledge of plastic types Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to keep a well organised and tidy factory.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 13.44 per hour
Expected hours: 41.5 per week
