Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on steel beamwork.

This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding and the ability to work with hand and power tools. A solid understanding of mechanical principles and basic mathematics is essential for success in this position.

As a Plater, you will be confident in fabricating and assembling metal parts to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Salary:

18ph+ DOE

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, Overtime is also available

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and processes required. Fabricate and assemble steel components using hand tools and power tools. Perform welding tasks to join metal parts securely. Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication and assembly. Ability to interpret technical drawings Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills. Valid UK driving Licence and personal transportation Residence within commutable distance to Chesterfield
